As an Owner Operated Company, Petals and Pines owner Brian Przybyl has over 20 years of hands on experience in the landscaping and nursery industry.  Brian started out when he was 14 years old in the YES program cutting lawns and gardening for the elderly. At the age of 16 he began working for Sunview Garden center in the town of Tonawanda learning the basics of the retail gardening trade. At the age of 17  Brian worked for Mike Weber's Greenhouses planting and caring for literally tens of thousands of bedding plants & perennials. At the Age of 18,  Brian took a Landscaping Position with Bishop's Nursery in the town of Tonawanda where he quickly moved up to a landscape foreman. At the age of 20 Brian founded Petals & Pines Landscaping. Since then we have serviced hundreds of clients in the greater Buffalo Metropolitan area.  Brian has won numerous awards for his work over the last ten years.

Garden Center. A lifelong dream has been fulfilled with the purchase of a property at 2723 Clinton St. in the historic farming community of Gardenville (West Seneca). Sick of the same old plants that many of the larger retail nurseries & box stores sell, Petals & Pines Garden Center has set out to become one of WNY's best kept secrets. The history of the property is as follows, once the original location of Ted Majeski's greenhouses. Then it became Country Greenhouses in the 1990's. Afterwards it fell into serious disrepair as a property of the Dan Majeski corporation where a flea market had run it's course. It was a West Seneca landmark eyesore painted hot pink and blue. When purchased in 2006 most of the glass was either missing or broken from the greenhouses, the main store roof was caved in, the garages were leaking considerably, the parking lot was pothole heaven and there were 20 foot trees growing through the greenhouse roofs. Not to mention the 5 Full size dumpster loads of trash left in the building from the previous tenants!

The Re-Birth.  In October of 2006, Petals and Pines purchased the property to be the home base for Petals & Pines Landscaping and retail sales. With his extensive knowledge of specialty plants, Brian set out to create a Garden Center of distinction. Sure, we are a fledgling garden center, but we quickly were the talk of the town and the ace in the whole for professional gardeners and Garden Walk members. Step by step we are restoring the greenhouses on the property, 3 in all and creating an outdoor display area for unique flowering shrubs and specialty perennials. We hope in the future to add Trees and Larger Specialty shrubs to our offerings. We are emphatic gardneners here, always trying something new or bringing unique one of a kind varieties. We may not have the retail space of the "big boys" but we sure to have a variety of perennials that would make the serious gardener drool! We are currently beginning to grow our own stock such as heirloom varieties, heirloom vegetables, fruiting varieties and items you will not find anywhere else. We have 10 varieties of mulch, composts, manures and specialty products including "professionally used" aged pine bark fines and mushroom compost. We are not a commercial entity just trying to satisfy the bottom line, we take a chance on introducing new varieties in an area that sometimes is reluctant to change.
